In 2016 Rachelle lost her father to cancer and her hearing in the same season. Diagnosed with Sudden Hearing Loss, she has since taken part in cochlear-implant research — and says it changed the way she listens. Setbacks like that don't stop her; they clarify things. Off the clock you'll find her on a hiking trail or in a kayak, somehow still answering texts.
