Back to Resource Library
For Brandon & The Skoolie Foundation

What THE WALL can do
for Skoolie.

Brandon — we've watched the buses, the showers, the NOAH builds, and the Resource Hub for a year now. The vision is unusually specific and you actually ship it. The thing your work is missing is not energy, it's distribution: getting your programs in front of the people who already came to a community site looking for exactly what you do.

That's what THE WALL is for. Below: what we've already wired up for you (live today), what's one small build away, and what's on the horizon if you want it.

Live today · nothing to wait for

Four things THE WALL is already doing for Skoolie.

Tap any link — you'll see the live page. None of this is mockup; it's what visitors see right now.

A1

Cross-guide embedding

The Skoolie Resource Hub (skoolieresourcehub.org) now lives inside three high-intent funnels on THE WALL — not just the Resource Library:

One org, three contexts where someone is already looking for exactly what the Hub solves.

A2

Community Partner Node

A collapsible feature card on /resources that doubles as a press kit: programs (with NOAH Buses + Hygiene Haven highlights), impact stats (1,000+ showers · 500+ haircuts · 5,000+ Nurture-Hope legacy), 4 donation channels (PushPay, Bus Pass, Zeffy, Donors page), populations served, socials, volunteer URL. All driven from your org record — update once, propagates everywhere.

Sash reads "Community Partner (beta)" — honest to where we are, not overstating partnership.

A3

Map pin & cause filtering

Skoolie surfaces on the Area Map under Housing, Food, Veterans, Health, Home/Relationships — anyone filtering on those causes finds you on their first scroll. If our current category list is too narrow for the spread of what you actually do, tell us and we'll add filters (we want your input on this).

You decide which filters you appear under in the admin tab.

A4

THE WALL's TROVE tie-in

Every dollar donated to Skoolie through THE WALL automatically unlocks THE WALL's TROVE for the donor — a growing array of in-kind gifts (artist tracks, art prints, local-business deals). Donors get something tangible back, and you get a giving experience that feels generative, not transactional.

See /trove-guide.

Coming next · on your blessing

Three plays we'd love to build with you.

Each is one-to-three days of work on our end. We won't ship any of them without your sign-off — we want your read on implementation, especially #B1.

B1

NOAH "Ark" weather triggers

When the NOAA forecast for a county we cover dips below freezing (or above a heat threshold), THE WALL auto-promotes the NOAH buses across the homepage hero, a dedicated banner in the Resource Library, and an email push to opted-in subscribers — with the closest deployment site, hours, and how to get there. Real-time, no human in the loop required.

We know you're still figuring out the logistics state-wide. With HQs in Olympia & Pierce, you're already positioned for it; we want to build this WITH you so the trigger only fires where you can actually answer. Could start county-by-county.

B2

Day-to-day story cards (not just milestones)

Most of what you do gets overlooked because it doesn't have a press-release moment. We'd build a tiny admin form — upload a photo, drop 2 sentences, pick which bus — and THE WALL auto-renders a 1:1 + 9:16 PNG share card with your branding, an impact micro-fact, and a donate QR. You post it; we cross-post it on the homepage's "this week in the community" rail.

The shower nobody wrote about. The haircut that mattered. The Wednesday food run. These are the stories that build long-tail trust — we just need to make them shippable in 90 seconds.

B3

THE WALL Zine — weekly

A music-fed, orgs-promoting, issues-based zine. Each issue: a rotating Community Partner Spotlight (you'd headline an early one), a 3-bullet "what they need this week" pulled live from the admin tab, a track from a Trove artist, a Pressing Issue update, and one Pierce/Thurston event worth showing up to.

Subscribers come for the music, stay for the orgs. You get a recurring distribution channel that isn't algorithmic and doesn't get throttled by Facebook.

"Pressing Issue Nights" via touring bands

A reimagining of the benefit show. Bands on tour through THE WALL pick a Pressing Issue or Community Partner each night — in-person calls to action plus social-media cross-post templates. Skoolie could be the test case for "Hope Night," where show attendees get a track from the band and the Resource Hub link the next morning.

Designed to be more than a check-out-this-cause moment — a living promotion tied to a real touring schedule.

Impact dashboard for your board

Charts of THE WALL referrals, dollars unlocked via the Trove, volunteer sign-ups, social impressions, NOAH-trigger fire count, and Resource Hub completions tied to Skoolie's URL — one shareable page you can hand a foundation, a board, or a grant officer.

Especially for smaller orgs whose boards aren't always analytics-fluent — we make the case for them.

What we need from you, Brandon.

1. A read.

Tell us where this misses, especially on the NOAH triggers.

2. Three day-to-day stories.

Photos + a sentence each. We'll mock the share cards.

3. Admin tab access.

So you can edit programs, hours, "what we need this week" yourself.

This page is a working draft for an early conversation. Numbers referenced are sourced from skooliefoundation.com and the Skoolie Resource Hub. Nothing here will go anywhere without Brandon's sign-off.
