Life on the YellowbrickIn Tacoma's Outsider's Guide, the Yellowbrick was the path through the city we loved — the places and people that made Destiny ours. These are the ones who carried Stars 4 Peace and THE WALL before anyone knew the names.

Missing a name? Tell us — this roster is written from memory and the archive
From 2011 to 2019 Tacoma's Outsider's Guide mapped the city by category — coffee, food, music, health, the lot — and in the middle of it sat a page called Life on the Yellowbrick: "Whatever your preferences in life, there is a flavor for you in Destiny… We present you the places and people that make us who we are. Welcome to Destiny, we're happy you're here." Read it in the archive.
The Guide listed hundreds of businesses. This page is deliberately narrower: only the people who backed Stars 4 Peace and THE WALL — with money, with space for a donation station, with a room for a star build, with water on a hot festival day, with a stage. The list runs by the year each first stood with us — 2012 onward.
Where a business shows two years, it did the thing twice. Where it says Original community, the role was simpler: they were there, and they were for us. If you belong on this list and aren't, tell us — it is written from memory and the archive, and memory is a group project.
