A free soul from the more conservative South, my mentors as a young man were involved at every level of business life, Real Estate to Entrepreneurship to Law. Based on their experienced advice and my own desire for the independent life, I chose early on to study the workings of small business, intentionally leaving school to work through life from the inside-out and bottom-up. 'Experience always wins over inexperience' - this I heard early in life, it stuck, and I went with it, gaining as much experience at as many levels as possible in a wide variety of fields. Historically (with a few exceptions), I've excelled. Once determined about a course of action, I tend to be rather persistent in its pursuit, and enjoy the learning process of the new.
This current project is effectively my own effort to build value throughout our community and to encourage the independent life and culture that sets our better ways of life apart. This more independent way of taking on for oneself and one's loved ones the responsibilities and commitments required to provide products and services that out-perform industry standards is rare and difficult enough in our world - and it will take our whole community to ensure our ways of life prosper. Presenting the preferable life we provide to outsiders, they will value what we do and share the better experience with others. This will absolutely result in more money in local hands, bettering life for us all. Knowing this, I have taken the initiative in my own field, developed this Guide and work to present the value and benefit of our local community culture.
