Fab-5 believes that youth are the ones who influence others to change, and what better way to cultivate change than by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the art of creation? By empowering youth via self-expression, Fab-5 builds solid leaders and community-minded individuals through mentorship, leadership and positive role models.
In addition to educational programming within the K-12 public school system, after school centers and juvenile detention facilities, Fab-5 also delivers special event programming throughout the year at festivals, conferences, receptions and local businesses via live painting, public art presentations, murals, live dance showcases, pop-up galleries, community art projects, DJing, and musical showcases prominently featuring our students. text adopted from website
Hilltop Artists in Residence

Established in 1994 with the help of Dale Chihuly, Hilltop Artists is a 501(c)3 non-profit glass arts program that provides classes and individualized instruction for over 500 students each year. Through the program, young people have an opportunity to learn the art of glass blowing, mosaics, fused glass and beadwork. Hilltop serves a diverse group of youth and is especially effective with young people who are searching for ways to connect and belong. There is an additional focus on assisting those who find themselves struggling academically, socially and/or behaviorally. Hilltop also does specific outreach in communities that are dealing with high risk factors related to poverty, neglect, homelessness, substance abuse, and violence.
No students are refused services based on their past behavior, grades, disabilities, or artistic talent; we are a tuition-free program and provide all staff, supplies and materials. Quoted from website

D.A.S.H. Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated providing quality performing arts instruction and programs to the under-served communities and lower income families of Tacoma & Pierce County. The D.A.S.H. Center for the Arts is a home for people, primarily youth, to develop natural talent, confidence, and self-esteem, as well as acquire the skills necessary for a career in the performing arts.
D.A.S.H. stands for Dancing, Acting, and Singing in Harmony. While the D.A.S.H. Center for the Arts is available to and welcomes persons of all walks of life, its primary targets are inner city youths who would otherwise have less opportunity to explore and develop their creative abilities. For this reason the D.A.S.H. Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization. D.A.S.H. is also the home for the active, community outreach organization, Reality Check. text adapted from website
