How This Approach Works
Items to Give: Clothes, Food, Toiletries
1) Needed items are collected all over the neighborhoods of our cities.
2) What is given, we collect and give to the people and organizations directly addressing need in our city.
Warm clothing like socks, shirts, jeans and work pants are great, as are hoodies, blankets, sleeping bags, tents and even things like toiletries make a great difference in a fellow person's quality of life.
Working with organizations like H.O.P.E. Foundation (See below), your gifts go directly to those in need through the people and organizations working directly with the people and families in difficult life situations.

Our success started within 2 weeks of placing the donation barrels in community businesses around the city: They have been filling up steadily week after week.

HOPE is the Meaning in the Message
Adrienne Casteele of the H.O.P.E. Foundation is a powerhouse provider of care and help to many in need in our city. At the heart of matters, our efforts encourage the people in our city to provide for others in need, giving clothes, food and other items directly to the children, women and men in need through the people providing Direct to Need. |
Donations received will go to those providing services like H.O.P.E. Victims Advocacy Foundation. For years they have helped women over-come domestic abuse at no charge.

As word spreads, more donations like these can be expected: Brand new, higher-end products gifted from one local business to the women the H.O.P.E. Foundation helps. These products were a gift at the Holidays for someone in real need.

A local tradition reaching deep into the roots of our communities, our work provides the means for you to donate Direct to Need through us as we collect what you no longer need and distribute it to organizations already working at the local level to give to those in need.
