Introducing Outsiders to Our Ways
& Diverting Flow to Local Business

Thousands of everyday people with millions of dollars between them travel the I5 corridor every year, right through Tacoma.  At the mercy of major media, visitors have little chance of discovering the places that set our community apart in the best sense.

This Guide works both to introduce outsiders to our local ways of life, and also to divert resources directly to the local businesses, organizations and events specifically presenting others with an appealing, beneficial taste of what our local community has to offer. 

The businesses and organizations in this Guide are specifically referred from personal experience by people in and about our local community - these are not random entries, and the inclusion of a business means it has a reputation for good experiences. 

So visitors to Tacoma are guaranteed quality, enjoyable experiences, our local community economy benefits and word spreads about Tacoma as a quality place to visit.

The Guide Works Like an Aqueduct

We divert money to our roots.


Money spent here stays here.  So once a single person shops inside the Guide's Community, we all ultimately benefit.  Scale this, and the ramifications are mind blowing. 

So the Guide introduces others to our ways of life - we introduce them to our community, to positively rewarding experiences they will want to share with friends, their money stays with us and we grow.

Community, and Cultural Growth

Small businesses benefit much by relatively few extra visitors - a few new clients per week could mean the difference between a young girl getting her dance lessons or not (small business is, after all, family business). 

These businesses also promote, encourage, donate to and benefit most from the local arts, events and festivals that showcase and familiarize others with the kinds of things that set our community apart as a whole.

If we don't support our local businesses, they won't be around.  The culture we now enjoy will slowly change and the variety we know now as basic to our ways of life will fade.

The Life and culture we support and encourage now is the Life our children will inherent.

Familiarizing ourselves with the diversity of options and benefits within our own community, we assure ourselves that the experiences we value most will flourish, and ensure that those responsible for providing these experiences prosper most.
