What You Love Too Much
Life is too short to forgo the passions
that guide our paths - following that thing you love so much
(I believe) betters the world for us all. I call those following their Hybris, 'indis.' These are the rare originals among us, the real individuals inspiring and emboldening us to take the path less traveled ourselves. They introduce us to the broader experience, enrich our lives and create for us and our loved ones the happier, often healthier lives we enjoy. The American Northwest is absolutely full of such people, and living the life I desire here is about the greatest privilege I can imagine. In fact, my love for Northwest life could well be called my own Hybris, and all throughout this website you will find examples of rare good women and men making our Northwest ways of life real and accessible to the rest of us. I believe in my community, and this website is my own attempt to add value to the lives of those daily creating the lifestyles we can hardly imagine living without.
Everywhere around us are easy, familiar sights, tastes and sounds - but the easy and familiar are not often the best options available to us. There are richer, far better experiences to be had for you and your loved ones. So I encourage you: Take a walk off the beaten path, pop out for a short while, leave the monotony of the mainstream world behind.
