Farmer's Markets & 'Direct Grocery'

image: Picture
If there is only one category for you as an individual to pay attention to - one that effects you, your family, me, and our whole community more than any other - it is exactly this area of food and nourishment.  The quality of nourishment our bodies receive depends directly upon the quality of soil our food is grown in, the well being of the animals being farmed and the kinds of methods being used to ward off pests.  Chemicals absorbed by food in the field are the chemicals absorbed by your body from the dinner plate.

Support those doing it differently here in our area - you, your family, and our families for generations will be happy you did.  Your body will feel better, your dinners will be more delicious, and your family will enjoy the wide variety of succulent, scrumptious, unheard-of good things to eat here.

"DIRECT" GROCERY

Direct Grocery in this Guide means you are buying directly from those producing the food you purchase and consume.  This maximizes the sustainability of those most directly responsible for providing us the better food they make available - these people do what they do because they love their crafts, and the value they bring to our community is immeasurable.

Can you imagine a life in the Pacific Northwest without fresh, organic food?  If we don’t make it a habit of supporting those providing it, our children won’t have it in future years.

These people provide it for us, their task is not any easy one, and we value them for it.  The next time you shop for food, consider purchasing their (fantastic) foods at one of the following places . .
